The Villa is fantastic - It literally has everything you could ever need - It has a fantastic pool and bbq facilities. The WiFi was intermittent and a little frustrating. The property should make it clearer that there are large number (79) of quite steep steps to reach the top apartment - we had a toddler and a baby stroller and it was hard work twice a day everyday up and down.
Alma was the perfect house owner. The booking was completely perfect and she replied within minutes. She answered all my questions before arrival and was really helpful. Even small changes regarding check in times after the booking were no problem at all. When we arrived at the house, we were warmly welcomed and the house is even more beautiful than on the pictures. Everything was very clean, and the house provides everything you need. The house is in perfect condition and the surrounding area is beautiful. In addition Alma provided a map with the best restaurants, beaches and many more things which made our holiday a perfect one. I highly recommend Alma and the Villa Mara for everyone who is looking for a beautiful and perfect holiday in Vis. I hope we will see her next year again.
Villa Mara Vis was lovely! It's just a short walk down the hill to Kut and along the walking path to Vis town. Some of the best restaurants in town including Pajoda and Villa Kaliopa are just steps away. The location is on a main road which gives you easy access to the entire island but there is some construction and traffic noise. The view from the terrace and pool is amazing and you can see the whole bay. The villa is modern and comfortable. The villa would be great for families since there are 2 identical apartments connected. We would definitely recommend and hope to return some day!
Alma and her husband met us in Komiza and drove us to the apartment, they were extremely welcome and the apartment is absolutely amazing, beautifully decorated and in a great location to the town, not to mention the pool. Kut is just 5 minutes away and Vis is a very scenic 15 minutes

We stayed in the top floor apartment and we absolutely loved it. The apartment really is stunning, the views are amazing as is the pool area. Vis and the neighbourhood we stayed in was great ... an easy walk to some great restaurants, bars and the harbour. Alma was a great host, she was very helpful before we went with Ferries etc and the best way to get to the island and was easy to contact and responded quickly, she also gave us some great restaurant reccomendations. We will definitely be returning to Vis and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
We had the most relaxing experience staying in Villa Mara. It is a beautiful villa which has everything you need to enjoy a short or long holiday. The pool was clean and refreshing, the villa itself spotless and comfortable. Alma was very helpful and responsive. The view from the lounge room and main bedroom is absolutely sensational!! Alma and Ratko were wonderful hosts during our time in Vis -- flexible, kind and helpful with recommendations. The house is beautiful, clean and well stocked with essentials that helped us transition to island life for our stay. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that bikes were included with the house. We used those to go down to the small markets in town to grab produce, cheese and prosciutto for relaxing lunches on the porch. My wife and I enjoyed the pool area, which was just as advertised in the photos -- clean, wonderful views and comfortable furniture (love the spinning chair) -- was a great place to unwind after exploring the island!
We hebben een geweldige week gehad in Villa Mara. Wat een mooi huis op een geweldig eiland. Wij twee gezinnen met kinderen in de leeftijd van 10 tot 15 jaar hebben genoten. Privacy, op loopafstand van het dorp, fijn zwembad en dat uitzicht!
Gorgeous home with a stunning view. I stayed in the top floor and loved every moment of it. Has everything you need including an expresso machine! A short lovely walk into Kut town where there are plenty of great restaurants to choose from. After visiting the island, I'm happy I chose to stay in Kut rather than Vis Town or Komiza. Vis Town is a 15 minute stroll along the water so it's highly accessible. Alma and her husband were accessible and responded to all my inquiries. I was on a trip with my fiance and wanted something private, quiet, with beautiful surroundings. This place had it all. Highly recommeded!
Gillian on September 2017 ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ We had an incredible experience at Villa Mara. The home is exactly as pictured - beautifully designed with stunning views. We made great use of the outdoor BBQ and eating area, pool and loungers, washing machine, and we especially loved having access to the 2 bikes to get around Vis - we used them every day! Everything was so well thought-out for guests and all the little details showed great care - from extra beach towels to extra chargers. We absolutely loved Villa Mara. Alma was very responsive and helpful with our travel questions/requirements. We would stay here again if we travel back to Vis.
Wow! Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in der genialen Villa Mara. Alles wurde wie abgemacht zur Verfügung gestellt. Extra Kinderbett und Kinderstuhl. Es war extrem schön sauber, die Bettwäsche und Tücher frisch, einfach alles nur fantastisch und sehr empfehlenswert. Würde wieder die gleiche Villa buchen!
